To Those That Came Before

 As I have looked back over the past year, it was the women in my life that helped guide me thru. Women as friends, as family. Women leaders and authors and speakers. These were the voices and trail guides that gave me a lantern for the path.

 In honor of those women, I would like to dedicate this space to some of my personal heroines. They will be from Biblical and Christian history. Some ancient, some from the more recent past. You may recognize some and be surprised by others. It is my hope that every Friday we will learn together how our present was influenced by our past. This will begin on Friday, Feb 5th. 

So often in history, women are overlooked. Or forgotten. Or dismissed as not as important. Overshadowed by the male counterparts that are their contemporaries. I don't mean to disparage the many men that have forged paths leading to freedom, invention and scholarship. I am meaning instead to honor the women that have walked those paths too. We so often don't even know how we have been impacted by our past until we begin to examine our history.
