We are all Mothers
It begins when we care for our siblings
It carries over when we make our first friend
We learn to care and love for another
And so the mothering begins
We take care of our friends in a way we learned
Way back when we were so small
Kiss the knee, wipe the brow
Give them our food and our all
More people come into our lives
thru happy times and strife
We take them under our wings
Continue to nurture, speak life
We grow up and find a love of our own
Someone to share a life
Then we add a third bond or a fourth
The love can't be cut with a knife
We mother in body
in mind, in spirit
We mother in part
or in wholep
We are all mothers
to the ones we love
We are each mothered
from above.
